In 1984, John Belcher, pastor of St. Paul Methodist

Church in Enterprise, was so touched by many hurting and hopeless people in

the area that he began asking God how he could be of service to Him and these

people.  The Lord revealed to Rev. Belcher: "if you will start a Mission here, I will

bless many people."  Rev. Belcher responded in faith by purchasing a building

that was a gathering place for addicts.  As Rev. Belcher enlisted the aid of other

Christians in the area to help with the clean up of the sight, he began to see the

birth of the Christian Mission Centers. Soon a Board of Directors was installed

and the incorporation papers were filed.

As a result of "Brother Johnny's" compassion and caring for the less fortunate

of our area, that small building is now one of eleven other buildings in use to

provide the ongoing ministry at the Christian Mission.

The foundation of all that takes place at the Christian Mission is based upon

our faith and trust in the goodness of our loving Father, His Mercy through the

shed blood of His Son, Jesus Christ, and our total dependence upon our

  advisor, the Holy Spirit.
